DAY ONE – 23RD MAY
7pm till 12am | Manchester DJ’s X Side St. Mixer Bank Holiday Party
We’ve teamed up with Manchester DJ’s, who are taking over The Studio to bring you a big pre bank holiday party with a great line up. The evening will be a curated open deck line put together by Manchester DJ’s.
On the line is – Shiv3rs, Krioso, Big Cola, Groovy Cat, Winkonwink, Fries With That, HannahRiley, Jumbled, Jadeaux & Prathik.

DAY TWO – 24TH MAY
6pm till 1am | Bases Loaded by Home Run Soul Club
A whole new ball game – Home Run Soul Club launch our new project: Bases Loaded.
In addition to their offering at The Refuge, Home Run Soul Club now has a new social spin-off. Hosted in our cosy and comfortable mid-century modern bar. Bases Loaded draws on the city’s finest Modern, Crossover & Neo-Soul DJ’s and Collectors.

6pm till 8pm | CUT & STICK
Come and unwind in our 2 hour physical collage making workshop at Side Street Studio in Manchester.
Take part in this workshop on your own, with your date or with a group of mates. This workshop is perfect for meeting new people while delving into the art of collage.
During the two hours of this workshop, you will learn a variety of techniques on how to collage using recycled magazines, newspapers and books. Katie and Luke like to encourage the idea of reworking through a sustainable ethos of practice.
In this workshop, we will teach you how college is a practice of mindfulness. Through appreciating imperfection we can learn to let go of expectations of our artistic outcomes. Materials such as magazines and newspapers will be provided to the group.
Whether you’re a collage based artist and wanting to connect with like minded creatives, or you’re just wanting to adopt a creative way to be mindful in your routine; Cut & Stick welcomes all levels of creativity.
DAY THREE – 25TH MAY
9am till 12:30pm | Balance Your Energy with Meg Landi
Balance your energy is a beautiful collaboration between food and movement. It’s a chance to connect on all things female, including eating disorders, movement, and learn our stories.
5pm till Late | Jazz Carnival by Jazz Heads X Nam Sound System
The Jazz Carnival is a new collaboration between artist, academic and DJ, Andrew Ibi and composer, producer and cellist, Gary Washington.
The Jazz Carnival is a community driven event created to introduce the vibrancy and energy of current music from the Black diaspora to engage and reach new and existing audiences in the North West of England.

The after party sees a full studio takeover – with Nam Sound Systems four point, Hi-Fi, Tannoy speaker stacks amplify the sounds of Jazz Heads & Gary Washington’s Monumentalist Ensemble.

DAY FOUR – 26TH MAY
1pm till 5pm | Workinonit – FREE ENTRY
Workinonit are back! After a great first event with us in April, they are going all out this time round with a Ableton tutorial in the studio with Statik. The IDA champion will be treating us to a workshop showing us some production tricks in Ableton. 1 – 2pm
Then, we move over to the bar area for an afternoon of instrumental Hip Hop live sets from some of the UK’s finest! We’ve got mecca:83, lone apostrophe, franc, hashfinger, pitch 92

7pm till Late | Latino Lounge – FREE ENTRY
Latino Lounge is brought to you by the Latin American collective, Los Compadres hold their first event of the year in collaboration with Side Street Studio to bring you Latino Lounge!
A vibrant and colourful explosion of Latin American music, comida and culture. Los Compadres was organically born on a love and appreciation for the traditions and customs of Latin America.
Join us in nuestro barrio as the vibrant rhythm flows through the streets of Manchester, creating a colourful experience of community traditions and a home away from home for our fellow Latinos. Also showcasing the best the culture has to offer, to wider audiences within the UK.

Step into the sounds of House music on Sunday 26th May as the sun goes down over Manchester’s skyline with The Skydome Rooftop Rave. DJs G2, Siah, Zoeh Azad, Demi-Leigh and Callum Watkins spinning all your favourites the Red Bull Funktion-One Sound system.
DAY FIVE – 27TH MAY

Join us for bank holiday Monday for a unique experience learning how to sculpt the nude form out of clay- model TBA.

7:15pm till 11pm | Woodapple Supper Club
Woodapple takeover our kitchen to hold the studio’s first supper club.
Their supper club events are all about bringing people together to enjoy a unique dining experience in a cozy setting. Indulge in a carefully crafted menu featuring seasonal ingredients and creative Sri Lankan dishes. They will further elevate your experience with expertly curated cocktail pairing suggestions that perfectly complement each dish. Whether you’re a foodie looking to try something new or just want to unwind with good food and drinks, this event is perfect for you.
A four course Sri Lankan meal with a welcome cocktail is included in the price of the ticket. The meal begins with a speciality welcome cocktail alongside some snacks and short eats; including slow cooked mutton rolls that are elevated with our signature WOODAPPLE ketchup. The main course arrives in waves with four different curries: all kept alive through multiple generations and given a slight modern twist. Lastly, the evening ends with a traditional Sri Lankan desert topped with a toasted cashew and honeycomb brittle.
